I mean…WOWZA! What a run we’ve had on the 2011 vintage Napa Cabs of late! Elivette, Meteor, and now…Vineyard 29’s Estate FLAGSHIP! We absolutely FLEW through today’s first few offers, and this one is special! Fourteen years young, and an elegance and purity of vibrant blue fruits that weaves magically through this classic, opulent behemoth of Napa Cab! This Estate sits on the hills just north of Saint Helena, on the slopes of the Mayacamas Mountains, a stone’s throw from icons like Luc Morlet, and Colgin’s LEGENDARY Tychson Hill. This wine was followed just two years later by its 100 point 2013 bottling — yet, having had the opportunity to taste them side by side a few years back — I’m 110% serious when I say, I’ll take TWO of these beauties!
The depth of cool black plum, juicy cherry, and percolating blueberry sensations, the soul-fulfilling warmth of roasted coffee beans, and molten chocolate, with baking spice accents of clove, black pepper, and minty rosemary and thyme bundles, just…aaaaaahhhhh!!!
