A more hard-working, endlessly experimenting, focused & driven young winemaker you simply will not find in the Napa Valley today. This Tempus Fugit has often been bottled as a red blend — but with the growth of his portfolio, the opportunity to make a fully-fledged, plush and potent Napa Cab in the excellent 2024 vintage was simply too great an opportunity to miss! 

And we — you, me…US — are the lucky winners! Let’s start a bit with 2024…as these wines are just barely trickling into the worlds. Now, the 2023 was an all-time epic, potential “Vintage of the Century” candidate — and that’s not just me getting all hyperbolic, either. Antonio Galloni, however, is already driving some of the serious hype onto the 2024 vintage, saying, “As exciting as the 2023s are, I have no doubt that 2024 will be better for some, perhaps many estates.” 

He goes on to compare it favorably to the famed 2014 vintage, but perhaps even better, with “more mid-palate intensity and overall fruit than the 2014s...This will be a fascinating vintage to follow.” Umm…mic drop! 2014 is one of my absolute, tippy-top BEST Napa Cab vintages in history in my book…so color me an excited shade of fuchsia and let’s DIVE IN! 

First…the color! Inky dark, like fresh-pressed blackberry juice, and this nearly opaque core that seems to suck in the surrounding light like a collapsing neutron star at even horizon. It’s juicy, and chocolate-y, and simply jam-packed with dark berries of all shapes and sizes. Blackberry, boysenberry, elderberry — you name it. Then plums, and warm black cherry pie, with a dusting of mocha, and sultry vanilla…lush and plush to the MAX! It’s sooo stylish, and so incredibly in the signature style of his mentors — I’d expect to pay $100+ for this (which is what it retails for, by the by…) But…UNDER $30?!?! That’s crazier than your favorite “Florida man” story on a Friday the 13th, with a full blood moon — which is to say…certifiable insanity! No need to wait on this baddie — load up, drink up, and rock and roll like a landslide — ‘cause this one is here for a good time, not for a long time!
