Stuhlmuller!!! Youāve tasted their EPIC Pinots ā but have you ever tried their rarest and most highly prized Barrel Select CAB crafted from their glorious Alexander Valley estate?! Over 40 years of delectable Sonoma grapes, and this is it, folksā¦the pinnacle, the top of the mountain, the absolute best of the best ā at OVER 76% OFF and rocking 96 POINTS ā letās do this!!!
100 barrels of Cabernet were made in the remarkable 2023 growing season, then tasted, and tasted again, whittling down with extreme prejudice to a mere 26 barrels! The resulting 650 cases are just STUNNING ā and we took every last bottle they would sell us, at the hands-down BEST price anywhere! UNDER $30 makes this almostā¦ALMOSTā¦too good to be trueā¦especially next to the wineryās $125 price! The luscious blackberries, and crĆØme de cassis, then violets, a dusting of cocoa powder, some chewy black licorice, with this savory and meaty element of roast beef drippings, and charred lavender, alongside a heady and deeply volcanic minerality, then finishing with this boisterous potpourri of cigar box shavings. Wowzaā¦this is INTENSE! Ripe fruits perfectly framed by balanced acidity, and an uplifting freshness that carries this forward both lightly AND substantiallyā¦I mean, what more could you dream of in an Alexander Valley Cab?! And THE PRICE????
Just jaw-dropping. Roger and Carmen Stuhlmuller purchased the 150-acre Alexander Valley property back in 1982, with much of the property already planted in the 1970s. They sold fruit to some of Napaās and Sonomaās best (Souverain and Simi, to name a few), and in the mid 90s, their son, Fritz, decided to keep some of the fruit and make their own wines. One sip in and you are gonna be damn glad that they did ā this is easily one of the top Sonoma Cabs Iāve tried in many, many moons! Thereās a reason Decanter called this āpositively stunningā¦alluringā¦nuancedā¦suave and suppleā ā ācause it freaking ROCKS, people! Our cray-cray price simply seals the deal. So donāt waste another second, go on and fill up your cart!Ā
While they last!
