93 POINTS! Under $20! Siduri co-founder Adam Lee and rockstar winemaker Matt Iaconis are taking on Big Wine – and their first efforts are nothing short of MIRACULOUS!

Status Quo is BACK – and as any of you brilliant and savvy folks that snagged some RRV Pinot a few weeks back can attest – this is one WHITE HOT new producer that needs to be on everyone’s radar!

Y’all might know Adam Lee from his tremendous efforts launching Siduri wines into the stratosphere…or…you might know him from a more recent “Sugar-gate” scandal where he publicly called out those hulked and bulked, grocery store destined, sickenly sweet, imbued and infused vinos that had some 30X the amount of sugar as his bone-dry Pinots and Chards. You know the labels – and I don’t want to see my own “cease & desist” letter in my office inbox, so I’ll leave it at that! Status Quo was born of a response to this – and the way many commercial wines had essentially stopped being real wines…too many additives, too many tricks, and shortcuts, and manufacturer manipulation that was carving out the very soul of what makes wine the single greatest agricultural achievement in the history of humankind! (Yeah, I said it!)

So Adam is a legend…and his boy, Matt Iaconis ain’t no slouch either! Brick & Mortar is his cult-y passion project (along with stints at Fort Ross and with the Antinori family’s Napa projects, as well as being an actual ROCKET SCIENTIST!). But the vino?! Oh baby, this freakin’ ROCKS! 93 points is great, 68+% off is even better, but one golden gulp is all it really takes to fall head over heels GA-GA for this beauty! It’s straight up GOLDILOCKS, people! That just-right balance of orchard fruits like golden apples and Bartlett pears, and baking spices, and sultry creaminess, with lemony, zippy acidity holding everything together, and a kiss of salty, rocky minerality at the last that leans right up to your ear and screams “TERROIR” straight into your temporal lobe. It’s tingly fresh and incredibly vivid…and I simply can’t…stop…SIPPING!

All stainless steel fermentation, aging in 30% new French oak, and just the tippy-top BEST new Chardonnay release I’ve tasted coming out of California this year! We got all we could…now it is YOUR TURN!
