First off…HOW was 2018 already seven years ago?!?! What the heck? But let’s get down to business – ‘cause I’ve been tasting wines and slinging copy for what seems like 48 hours straight on two different continents  – and I’m sure you’re all tired of me and just want the goody-goods, and FAST! 

So you know by now that 2018 was one of the greatest Napa vintages of all-time – getting Wine Spectator’s HIGHEST EVER rating of 99 points, and the wines are ferociously complex, inky, concentrated, and capable of outliving a Greenland shark. (Ok, that’s an exaggeration – those deepwater beasties can survive for HUNDREDS of years!) 

This monster of Spring Mountain District is powerfully built – compact, inky, spicy, and utterly jam-packed with berries, cherries, plums, and currants – with a Mariana Trench depth of minerality. This is a patient and long-lived dragon of today’s line-up – so only the fearless and the bold need apply. For UNDER $30, too?!?! Just insane!
