2017!!! The vintage doesn’t get nearly enough love (but it’s my wedding year – so maybe that’s where all the love went!) Spring Mountain and Howell Mountain fared particularly well in 2017, and this has the lift, the length, and the luster to carry for two decades more – E.Z.!!! 

Lively and focused with a cool minty-ness, keeping everything fresh and exuberant. Wowza, is this ever pretty!!! There’s plenty of grip and youthful tannin here, but with a red fruit and roasted herb spiciness that makes it all come together nicely. Dusty mulberries, blueberries, roasted coffee, rosemary, and Assam black tea all dance across the tongue in an almost pagan ritual of sacred beauty. For UNDER $30, this is an absolute MUST-HAVE Napa Cab – rounded out with 12% Petit Verdot, 11% Malbec, and 2% Cabernet Franc. I got a case to drink over the next decade of marital bliss (and another case for those extra tough days), but what remains I leave to you! 94 POINTS! “Strapping…muscular but seductive” and “built for serious cellaring” says the good folks at Wine Spectato,r and all I can say is yes, yes, YES!!!!
