Sleeper Chardonnay Reserve Napa Valley 2019
SLEEPER!! A super-secret, 2nd-time only, monumentally delicious, rich, classic Napa Valley Chardonnay -- read on for the limited details we CAN give you, but know this: we only made a handful and it will FLY! So good, we drank 2 bottles over the holiday, to raves from the uncles (you know, you got your fun uncle, your crazy uncle, your weird uncle...anyway they all loved it!!).Ā
So, a good friend who makes some CHOICE Chardonnay on the eastern side of the valley called and said āyo, in ā19 we made a little too much, we donāt want to deal with selling it all, you guys want to taste it and maybe take some?ā OH HO HO, did we!!!
Amazing. Gratifying. Our hearts swell with pride. Itās also a bone-rattling uber-deal. Wine with this pedigree would cost AT LEAST $65 (the winery makes some pricier ones, too) a bottle. Itās all from one winemaker, one winery, one appellation, about as āEstateā as it gets, really. We just canāt say anything else. If you know the quality level of the wines we call āSleeperā (def: an unexpected success), then you know this will hit the sweet spots!
