You’ve probably never heard of this fine, Southern France producer – and that’s ok…we recently discovered them ourselves…but just like that lovely bike cop recently told me when I had a tail light go out – ignorance is no excuse!

Thomas Delaude is the Wizard of Oz behind this curtain – a 4th generation mover & shaker in the wine industry, with over 25 years experience making world-class wines in both Corbières and Minervois. This simply stunning Chevalier Delaude 2022 was named a Top 20 Wine Value in 2024 by Decanter – and we bought every LAST BOTTLE for the USA! Syrah, and Grenache, with a splash of Mourvedre…and WOW! What a wine! 

Rose petals and graphite leap from the glass, immediately followed by Gaia’s gifts of figs, and pipe tobacco, with an alluring smattering of mom’s plum jam, enveloping a core of juicy blackberries, and vibrant blueberries, and this lasting undercurrent of silky garrigue. It’s high-toned, yet deeply complex, and long and strong on the finish. In a blind tasting, I might be tempted to mistake this for a good quality Priorat – but you just know you’re NEVER finding one of those for ONLY $17!!!
