100% native and ancient CORATINA olive variety of the PUGLIA region – a small olive, with a small pit and TONS of flesh – giving it an intensely sweet, aromatic, uber-compelling flavor profile. These 100-year-old-plus olive groves have been farmed by the Rubino Family for generations, in a small town in the south of Puglia called Sannicandro di Bari. Organic before organic was a thing – and cold pressed to keep that flavor, intensity, color – wicked stuff, people!

You already know this of course, but great, fine, true food can be as mind-altering and hedonistically satisfying as any great bottle of wine. Everyone remembers their first epiphany-level burger, pasta, pizza, sushi or whatever it is that gets your salivary glands into hyperdrive. This stuff is so delicious and complex, it’s easy to compare it to wine in trying to get to the heart of its alluring alchemy. Floral, grassy, like an alpine meadow straight out of the "Sound of Music"…but, you know, Italy. There’s this savory vegetable component, think artichokes, with a hint of fennel, followed by this exceptionally creamy butteriness, and a clean, fresh purity throughout. Once it hits your tongue, an explosion of peppery spice, and savory herbs, with a sort of salty/umami decadence that lingers like a teacher’s pet on the first day of school. It’s really, really good. Can I get a “HUZZAH”?!?! Oh, BABY! Bold, rich, complex, and sooooo viscerally satisfying…this is going on everything! Pizza, pasta, scrambled eggs, ribeye steaks, hunks of Parmigiano Reggiano…everything. I’m even massaging a dollop into my beard – to give me that glossy, exuberant shine of King Leonidas in the 300 (without the six-pack, obviously).

Go now, seriously, this just…ROCKS! A RARE TREAT at a spectacular price!! Super-limited – but I’ve got a secret…there just might, maybe, possibly, be even more fantastic olive oil on the way!
