This 94 POINT Sonoma wonder hails from a one-time underground phenomenon, started in 2007, and quickly soaring to become the weekend playground for the odd-coupling of both SF’s uber-tech elite and the West Coast’s crunchiest hipsters – built on the quality, cool-factor, and just outright VIBE of their small-production wines. Born from a derelict turkey farm, and just around the corner from neighbors that are all about “guns out, buns out” – these folks are some of the most sought-after Pinot/Chard producers in Sonoma – and typically sold direct to their club and mailing list, with a few prime placements on the country’s coolest restaurants. 

100% Pinot Noir grapes, hyper-fresh and simply BANGIN’ in the “smooth & outstanding” 2024 vintage, which some Sonoma growers are raving about as one of the very best in the last 50 YEARS! This Pinot is just CRAZY beautiful – floral notes of roses and hibiscus pull you in, and then smacks you in the face with a pie-full of crushed raspberries, macerated strawberries, tart and intense rhubarb, and a light dusting of crab-apple piquantness, with some crushed coriander seed brightness. It’s light, but fully complex and no lack of endurance either…this hangs on like a hipster to his first pair of skinny jeans! A low and lithe 13.5% alcohol tells you what you need to know about the style – this is cool-climate, “Burgundian” acolyte style of Carneros, with the food-friendly freshness that fits right in with this estate’s entire scene. The long, palm tree-lined driveway, the enchanting Spanish mission revival hacienda on a hill, and the guest-chef, industry-studded, Fernet-comes-after-dinner parties that are THE “it” invitation in wine country…just…so…much…WINNING! 

30% whole cluster, mostly from a parcel of 30-year-old Martini clone Pinot Noir in the heart of Sonoma’s Carneros region. Rocking. Utterly rocking.
