Metzker Cabernet Sauvignon Spring Mountain Napa Valley 2017 (Magnum 1.5L)

Metzker Family Estates is a small family project that sources fruit from some of Napa and Sonoma’s top vineyard sites to create exciting and classic expressions of simply unreal quality!

Don’t mind if I do!!!! People, good people – what a day! We’re coming to the end – as I officially cannot sip any more delicious but powerful Napa Cabernet! My tongue is raw, my enamel is cracking, my head is reeling, but…WORTH IT! Before I go and sleep through the weekend, I think we can safely share ONE MORE MAGNUM! This time, it’s a Spring Mountain sensation – from newcomers at the Metzker Family Estates. Their winemaker is a young gent named John Martin – and while you may not have heard of him (yet!) – you’re sure to recognize his mentors! Paul Hobbs, Sebastiani’s Mark Lyons, and Chalk Hill/Roth Estate’s Bill Foley and Henry de Lambert. That’s a pretty solid list – and when paired with some high-elevation Spring Mountain Cabernet – a match made in heaven Napa Cab! We’ve got the MAGNUM at the price the winery is selling their 750s – and I’m no math wizard, but surely TWICE as much wine is a good thing, right? Right!
