It’s MAY people! And that means drinking GALLONS of good pinks, every chance I get, from now until at least September…and maybe beyond. Château la Mascaronne is just a BANGIN’ Provencal princeling – owned by the same gent behind Bordeaux’s LEGENDARY 2nd Growth estate – Château Cos d'Estournel!!
That’s some serious muscle flexing behind this little ditty – and when you factor in our absolutely NUTTY price of just TWELVE AMERICAN DOLLARS I would strongly, eagerly suggest that you score six, twelve, thirty two bottles as quickly as humanly possible! The PEACHES! The pink roses, and summer strawberries, with that salty tang of the Mediterranean packed into each and every vibrant sip…YES!!!! This fresh, layered, and dare-I-say absolutely fantabulous rosé is more than up to the task of setting your spring and summer sipping agendas to rights! There’s some utterly gorgeous texture here, too – creamy but not in a milky way – more like biting into a ripe d’Anjou pear. Just enough citrine acidity to keep this bright and boisterous – but soft and downright CRUSHABLE – as all the best rosés should be.
