It’s rich, but silky, with mineral depth, TONS of complexity, and a taut precision that can only come from old vines grown in rocky soils and literally breath-taking altitudes of nearly 4,000 feet above sea level…Yes, SIR!!! The violets…and asphalt…and inky, crushed blackberries and plums! Waves of pepper and roasted wild herbs, and this precision and tension that hums like a finely-tuned hypercar. This is simultaneously nimble and full of flavor – never heavy, but about as far away from thin as my mid-section after two weeks in Tuscany. We’re talking some SERIOUS heft, and plenty of giddy-up, all polished to a mirror’s reflection. FOR UNDER $20! The BEST Malbec I’ve tasted in some time – and worthy of a case or two. Drink it over the next 15 years – easy.
