Domaine des Herbauges is one of the TOP estates in Muscadet, making some of the region’s best since 1864, with the fourth generation, Jérôme Choblet, crafting the wines. This is from a SINGLE PLOT, and vines up to 70 YEARS OLD, all aged for a whopping 14 months on the lees to build that textural richness, and classic Muscadet BITE on the finish. GET ME OYSTERS, STAT! Anywho, these wines are absolutely BANGIN’ – awash with floral notes of honeysuckle, and jasmine, with whiffs of lemon verbena, all rolling into this titillating core of lemons, and orange cream, with this tingling, river rock minerality, and crunchy oyster shell finish. It’s piquant, and spicy, and terribly, fascinatingly EASY to knock back a whole bottle. Case buys are the way to go, no question – especially at this simply ROCKING price!
