Theyāve been pumping out Napa Legends since 1973 (seriously, if you ever, EVER get a chance to taste the iconic ā74 Conn Creek Eisele Vineyard Cab ā do not hesitate!), and this newest release of their AVA Series Diamond Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon just utterly CRUSHES it!
The inky blackberries, a good olā slice of huckleberry pie, then roasted plum jam, and heady crĆØme de cassis ā this beauty is certainly NOT FOR THE SHY! But the killer vintage infuses this with elegance, and purity, and flat-out incredible balance ā so this isnāt some hulked-out monster, either. That classic volcanic dust and primordial minerality of Diamond Mountain floats its way into the finish, but it just might be the seductive and life-giving floral notes on the entry that stand as my very, very favorite! Epic stuff, to be certainā¦even now. Better still, in 2 years, and guaranteed to thrive for two decades plus, E-Z! We grabbed all we couldā¦and now itās up to you!
