Chateau Lalaudey Moulis en Medoc 2018

Chateau Lalaudey Moulis en Medoc 2018

Oh, Bordeaux, you heartbreaker, you... it has been FAR too long. DO WHAT YOU MUST...we don’t have much, sadly…!

Hittin’ all the buttons today!! 93 POINTS, killer ā€˜18 vintage, pretty snazzy packing, wicked-daft price - our suggestion is to grab some and then go watch Ted Lasso or maybe the Great British Baking Show or Frozen or some such, because….happy. We live for happy here at LB World Headquarters!!

If anything brings that warm, satisfying feeling, it’s a good Bordeaux, amirite? As the review notes: ā€œrichly structuredā€ and ā€œgreat ripenessā€ abound here, so much so you might think you’re drinking a pricey Napa Cab, except it’s got that Bordeaux structure and pure black-curranty goodness, ripe and succulent, with a lip-smackingly tasty finish of cassis and cigar box spices. MMMM! Just ordered some Peking duck for dinner delivery. It’s gonna rock…

Chateau Lalaudey is owned by Patrick Meynard, a packaging expert (thus the cool wire and such) who bought the Chateau in 2005 and made extensive upgrades, and these days is just crushing it. He’s pals with Francis Ford Coppola (who uses the wire on some of his wines too, and, incidentally, who once stole a piece of pizza off my plate at a restaurant in Yountville, and I’m not kidding.)

Did you read this far? Is it gone yet?

** Heads up, East Coasters…all shipments are headed out straight from our California warehouse on this one, so please allow a few extra days for delivery! **

** Ice pack charges will be assessed and charged at the time of order print ($8 per box, consolidated). If the ice pack method is selected on one (or all) of your orders, that ice pack charge will be assessed. **
