It is a super-savvy “insider” Bordeaux that is starting to get the attention it has richly deserved for the last decade. Pascale Peyronie recently took over the management of Fonbadet, a property that has been with her family since the early 20th century. Packed with GORGEOUS aromas of violets and graphite, with ripe boysenberries and blackberries, black plum tarts, and inky cherry kirsch – this is just SINGING right out of the gate, with the weight of a pricey Napa cab and the elegance so distinctly Bordeaux. 70% cabernet sauvignon and 30% merlot pump out tons of those aforementioned dark berries, plus creamy blueberry, exotic spices, decadent mocha, and a deep, mouthcoating, richly intoxicating goodness, with a crazy-long finish that goes on and ON! An absolute JOY to drink – we are beyond stoked to have enough to send out an email. Pauillac is simply STUNNING in 2020 – easily our favorite spot in Bordeaux for the vintage – concentration, elegance, silkiness...just everything you could want from the Left Bank!
