Sell out alert! We TOLD you it would go quick! Up nextâŠUNDER $30 from one of the top estates in the region, and one of the most exciting vintages in yearsâŠDO NOT miss this!Â
Even more BORDEAUX? Letâs GOOOOOO! Oh me, oh myâŠwhat a mighty fine vinous Saturday we have in store! The absolutely STUNNING 2020 vintage, from a 3rd Growth, Grand Cru Classe 1855 Margaux estate (that goes back to the 12th century, btw)...I give youâŠChĂąteau dâIssan!!!Â
Weâre talking less than one half mile from ChĂąteau Margaux herself (and Palmer, Lascombes, and other tippy-top Margaux gems), comprised of 55% Cabernet Sauvignon, 39% Merlot, and a smattering of 80-year-old Petite Verdot, Cabernet Franc, and even a splash of Malbec! Bordeauxâs Fantabulous Five are all here, and vigneron Emmanuele Cruse continues his noble work of revolutionizing this rising star estate â which already boasts a reputation for the best dollar-for-dollar, pound-for-pound Grand Vin in all of Margaux! We have the kid brother of that 97 point phenom today â and you canât get this 2020 vinous luminary ANYWHERE else and anywhere near our price!!!Â
This MĂ©doc Marvel thrived in the exceptional 2020 vintage, made from all estate fruit just west of the ChĂąteau, on the border of Haut-MĂ©doc and Margaux. Some of the estateâs holdings here were more recently elevated to Margaux status â and when you taste this layered and vinous Bordeaux â youâre gonna understand exactly why! The estateâs motto translates to âFOR THE TABLE OF KINGS AND THE ALTAR OF GODSâ and I got to say â one solitary glass in, Iâm ready to tattoo that crest to my left pec, just above the heart. (What? That's a good first tattoo, right?) Anywho⊠youâre gonna want some of this â if you love inky black currant, and blackberry fruits, with blue and red bramble berries too, plus Burgundy Pearl cherries (my favorite!) and this medley of spices, and roasted herbs, and this supporting structure of minerals, tobacco, and charred earthâŠWOWZA! This beauty is ready to rock, but at this epic UNDER $30 price â it wouldnât be the wrong call to get at least six or more, for drinking over the next five years or so. This baby is Margaux without the three-digit price tag, and you can only snag it through Last Bottle! Â
Whatever are you waiting for? Go get âem, good people!Â
