Coloma is a small, family-run winery we discovered some years back, and it offers a staggering value even at what would be its normal $25 price. The “Seleccion” is the young and talented winemaker Amelia Coloma’s best barrels of Grenache, and it will zap your tongue and brain to attention.

Packed and percolating with kirsch, rose petals, rose hips, lush lavender and potpourri, sandalwood, clove, and cherry pie, all mix with terrific freshness and vim and vigor. The amazing part is how balanced and fine this is, so flowing and symphonic despite its rocking concentration. MUCH LOVE to this most extreme winery...one of our great, great finds over the years.
