This immensely powerful, seductively rich monster is a full 60% native son tempranillo, mixed with 20% each cabernet sauvignon and merlot. It’s lush, chocolatey, and overflowing with dark cherries, blackberries, raspberries, and plums – all interspersed with floral and dried herb notes like violets, vanilla, lavender, and thyme. There’s an iron-fist minerality at the very finish, extending this beautifully, with a sweet dessert of mocha and brandied cherries that lingers on for a full minute after my last sip.
