This absolutely fierce, juicy, and powerfully structured BEAST leads off with 74% Cabernet Sauvignon, rounded out with a dose of some 23% Merlot, and an inky, bacon-infusing element of 3% Syrah. It says California on the label, but don’t be fooled — just like Pride Mountain’s top estate wines — this screaming-good-value is 100% Napa and Sonoma fruit, baby!

Crafted by the one and only Julien Fayard, this HERO red is a newer project for the fine folks at Beau Vigne — and their beautiful vines here range from some of their top plots across Sonoma and Napa, from valley floor to pristine mountain peaks — all lovingly reared in 100% French oak for a full 17 months. Inky dark, and luminous with a ruby sheen — this velvety ambrosia sings of berries and cherries, a jubilant and hyper-fresh wine that is perfectly integrated with accents of graphite, black tea, clove, vanilla, and lush milk chocolate. One critic called it a “winning combo of fervor and power…” and yep, we’re on board with that. This seriously impressed the entire Last Bottle buying team, on a day simply PACKED with heavy hitters…and once we locked in the price, well, as Monty Python would say…and there was much rejoicing!
