This hails from Les Arcs-Sur-Argens, a picturesque hilltop near the bay of Saint-Tropez, the Croisette in Cannes, the Gorges du Verdon, and even Aix-en-Provence – it’s basically smack dab in the middle of where I want to be right now – where the Mediterranean Sea meets the glorious vineyards of Provence. These unbelievably happy vineyards (why wouldn’t they be?!?!) provide some 45% Grenache, and 35% Cinsault, plus a dash of Caladoc, Mourvèdre, and Rolle to make these bubbles shine...and...how they shine, indeed! Bursting, pulsing, pumping with tasty red cherries, and strawberries, wait...raspberries too?! Oh, baby! A tang of salted watermelon, a nip of pink peppercorn, some sensual lavender, and flowering thyme...momma, this is everything you want to drink over and over all spring and summer long!
